The Outpost Ice Arenas are pleased to offer our Learn to Skate for Youth and Adults. Whether your goal is to become a competitive figure skater, hockey player, ice dancer, speed skater, or just to feel more comfortable on the ice, a solid foundation in skating skills is essential! Using the Learn to Skate USA class program any skater  from beginner to advanced can improve their skills in a fun and relaxed class environment.

 

Please register before the first class.

 

 

A Learn to Skate USA Membership is needed to participate in all Learn to Skate sessions.
Memberships are valid for 1 year – July 1 through June 30 – and will need to be renewed every year.

We utilize Learn to Skate USA’s curriculum for fundamental basic skills of skating in the following categories: 
*Snow Plow Sam 1 – 6 (Ages 5-6 only)
*Basic 1 – Basic 6
*Pre-Free Skate
*Free Skate 1 – Free Skate 6
*Adult Beginners – Advance
*Hockey 1 – Hockey 4 (HECC approved helmet required-available for purchase at Chilly’s ProShop)

 

  • Receive 3 public skate passes for any public skate sessions good for 90 days from the start of your Learn to Skate class. ($39 value)
  • Option to stay for public skate when immediately following Learn to Skate
  • Receive a 10% off coupon (1 per 12 month period) good for 30 days from end of your Learn to Skate Class towards the purchase of new skates at Chilly’s ProShop

This class provides extra ice time in a small-group setting where skaters can practice and strengthen their skills they are learning in their regular Learn to Skate class.

A fun, play-based skating class for children ages 3- 5 years. This class meets twice per week for four weeks and focuses on helping young skaters become comfortable on the ice through games, imagination, and movement based activities.
Each session is 8 weeks – 2 classes a week – Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:30am
